iSeries (AS/400) Capacity Planning - Analysis and Prediction Capacity planning is the starting block for any planned system upgrade or rationalisation/consolidation project. This service, starts with gaining a good understanding of your business needs, current situation in terms of performance and capacity and your requirements in terms of resolving current performance issues, accommodating new workloads / workload growth, or indeed building an entire new system model that can be used to run the workloads of another system for the purpose of rationalisation or consolidation. Initially we conduct a brief analysis of current system performance. This helps to identify system bottlenecks or limitations that need to be resolved when we create the system model.
